24FPS is MAAC’s exclusive awards event honoring excellence in animation & VFX.

At the 9th ACEF Asian Leaders Forum and Awards, ‘Gold’ was awarded to MAAC’s 24FPS International Animation Awards 2019, in the sub-category ‘Most Effective Use of Sponsorship & Event Marketing’. Held every year since its inception in 2003, the event has grown from strength to strength, and has become a springboard to showcase talent.

The National Students’ Meet brings together 225+ students for workshops, expert sessions & creative activities.

The 3-day schedule featured engaging sessions, workshops, and industry insights by experts like Amit Rane (DCP Expeditions LLP), Ayan Banerjee (Sumo Games), Nadim Akhtar (Digitoonz), Bharat De & Prateek Kaushal (Legend 3D), Philip Varghese (Technicolor Academy), Praveen Natarajan (UBISOFT), Pranay Agarwal (DNEG), and Karan Arjun Singh (Just Foley Studio). The event concluded with the exceptional “Behrupiya” mask-making workshop by the MAAC R&D team.

From time to time, MAAC enthusiastically organises exciting and enriching nature & wildlife exploration trails for its students in some of the most scenic and picturesque locations such as Ranthambore, Sundarban, Sariska Tiger Reserve, Coorg, Ayodhya, Matheran, and the lush green forests of Amboli.

Seasoned industry professionals from leading studios and production houses attend the event to conduct interesting sessions on the current trends of the animation and VFX industry. Not only this, even MAAC alumni are felicitated at MAAC Manifest for successfully completing their course from MAAC and establishing themselves as seasoned professionals in the industry.

A 100-hour filmmaking challenge where students create a complete 3D animated short film under pressure.

100 hours allows students to form teams and compete at inter-centre and zonal levels. They get expert guidance during the filmmaking process and work on a complete production pipeline from start to end. By participating in 100 Hours – Creative Marathon, students experience a one-of-a-kind journey creating an animated short film. The event also gives them hands-on exposure to multiple software, professional integration, and the feel of working in a studio-like environment.
